Moulin Rouge, el cabaré que es un éxito en los escenarios de Broadway

La producción que mezcla amor, exuberancia y música es aclamada por críticos.

Las luces del cabaré parisino más famoso de todos los tiempos se encienden una vez más para cautivar a su público desde un espacio diferente. El musical Moulin Rouge revive en los escenarios de Broadway.

La pieza teatral es una adaptación del filme estrenado en el 2001, el cual estuvo protagonizado por Nicole Kidman y Ewan McGregor, bajo la dirección de Baz Luhrmann, quien no le ha quitado la mira a la producción y la ha elogiado por su ‘espíritu creativo’

Para nosotros, visitar la ciudad de New York es sinónimo de ir a ver algún espectáculo de Broadway. Siempre le dedicamos un espacio para ir a ver alguna de las maravillosas obras que ofrecen.  Por eso este año elegimos un clásicos: Moulin Rouge.

Recomendamos comprar tus entradas con tiempo. Eso te asegurará conseguir la mejor ubicación a un precio adecuado. No es para nada recomendable pensar en sacarlas en el mismo momento, ya que puede haber baja disponibilidad y precios bastante caros.

El musical Moulin Rouge se desarrolla en el Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 W 45th St entre 8th 9th Av.) Nosotros fuimos temprano a buscar los tickets para evitar las colas a último momento.

Alex Timbers, guionista del musical, confesó para la revista Vogue que uno de los mayores desafíos fue cómo dar vida a la exuberancia ‘hipercinemática’. “Tuvimos que crear una excitación visceral y cinética utilizando un vocabulario completamente teatral”.

La crítica la encasilla como éxito total. “El glamur sigue ahí, pero tiene más carácter, y se nos permite tener un acercamiento mayor a la piel mortal de los personajes”,  The New York Times.

Imagínense lo que es la obra, que  hasta la oscarizada actriz Nicole Kidman se coló en el backstage del teatro para saludar y felicitar al elenco.
